SIFE University of New York / Tirana
is the first runner up at the
2007 SIFE European Champion
(Warsaw, Poland - 17 September 2007)
SIFE students from 13 countries competed on Tuesday at the 2007 SIFE European Symposium competition at Hilton, Warsaw, Poland. Nantes Audencia University from France emerged as Champion of the SIFE European Symposium and University of New York / Tirana from Albania emerged as the 2007 SIFE European Symposium Runner up.
Other finalists were the University of Malta from Malta and the Otto von Guericke University from Germany.
Let's talk a little about the projects presented by SIFE UNYT. SIFE UNYT students have worked on 5 projects, but the one that particularly captured the attention of judges was the Lura Project. SIFE UNYT is helping the community of Lura to attract more tourist and be sustainable in the long run. The community members were trained on financial, marketing and client management.
This is a competition where the best business-minded students gather from around Europe - says Behar Male, President of SIFE Albania Board of Directors. "When we get them together amazing things happen. I can't help but think that through the interactions that take place among these students at this event, such connections are made that in some small way make the world a better place."
SIFE UNYT is really proud of the results achieved so far and thanks Tirana International Development and the NYC Education Group for supporting their trip to Poland and getting this price.
